Explore the basics of pottery in our four-session course at Homer Hai. Designed for beginners, this workshop covers everything from clay preparation to glazing, guided by seasoned professionals.
Classes are held weekly, lasting three to four hours, with a small group setting of 4-6 participants.
Structure:
Session 1 | 3 hours : Introduction to materials, tools, and basic wheel throwing.
Session 2 | 3 hours: Practicing the skills acquired in the first lesson.
Session 3 | 3 hours: Techniques for trimming and attaching handles.
Session 4 | 4 hours: Painting and glazing techniques.
Over the course of 4 weeks you will make between 5-7 pieces including a mix of cups, plates and bowls.
Please note, the cost of the course includes the use of equipment during session times, clay, and firing.
You won't need to bring anything with you, but please wear comfortable clothes & shoes, have short nails, and remove all valuable jewelry.
After you have completed this course, you will have the opportunity to apply for our membership program, which allows you to return to the studio on a weekly basis and continue to create. Please note, spaces are limited.
We require a minimum of three bookings in order to run this course. If we do not meet this minimum, we may cancel the course and inform you accordingly.
The course is held in Hebrew or English — if a specific language doesn't work for you, please mention it when booking!
All ceramic classes, workshops, and sessions must be reserved in advance. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. The remaining balance must be paid after the class.
You may reschedule your booking up to 48 hours before your class without penalty.
If you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your class, no refund will be provided.
